General information for students

Most students of Experimental Ecology work towards their B.Sc. and M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree. Students mostly come from the Dept. of Environmental Sciences and Dept. of Biology at ETH, as well as from the Zurich University. Some students who do their research work at Experimental Ecology are also studying at other Universities in Switzerland. Topics for research work are arranged in discussion with the supervisor. Typically, topics are within the range of the ongoing research projects. Often, M.Sc. theses are written in English although this is not compulsory. Ph.D. theses are generally written in English and typically are based on publications and/or manuscripts intended for submission for publication.
